CBI-electric: african cables has made large capital investments in their Vereeniging facility over the last twelve months. In line with CBI-electric: african cables’ position as an advanced manufacturer of superior quality electrical cables and conductors these investments have upgraded their production equipment and increased capacity. |

| CBI-electric: african cables has made large capital investments in their Vereeniging facility over the last twelve months. In line with CBI-electric: african cables’ position as an advanced manufacturer of superior quality electrical cables and conductors these investments have upgraded their production equipment and increased capacity. The most recent expenditure is the introduction of an aluminium conductor, steel reinforced (ACSR) production facility. This plant will supply a significant portion of Eskom’s transmission backbone infrastructure. This facility includes world-class equipment and ensures a state of the art product unit. This expenditure in local manufacturing capacity addresses the government’s desire to ensure its ASGISA and BBBEE objectives are met during their infrastructure investment.
